Looking For New Owner

Edit: STILL SEARCHING! I need to get rid of this group. I just don't check it. It feels so sad. I need someone who is active to take this group and make it their baby.

I have for quite some time been trying to find a replacement to take over for me here at SoniComical-Club. Perhaps I'm just super picky, but I don't feel like I've found the person to take it on. The rules are important and aren't always followed. I quite often find myself denying entries or removing ones that have been approved in the past, or moving them to the right folder.

This is a HUMOR club and a lot of people don't realize that. They see 'Comical' in the title and assume it's for comics. If your drawing doesn't meet the criteria it's not accepted into the group. I do realize that sometimes art could end up in two different folders and I usually try to just switch it up when the drawings are submitted if I find it better belongs in the other folder.

Let's take a look at the rules and folders again.

Being a humor-related club, we only accept pictures intended to be funny into the gallery! Remember, two pictures may be submitted a day!

Mature Content may be submitted here, but it absolutely must be marked as mature.

Any submissions to the gallery must be yours. This means no screenshots or sprite Deviations, including motivationals. This also includes the use of bases!

Please make sure work is submitted to the correct folder. See below if you have any doubts about where to submit.

Submissions to the gallery must contain an official Sonic character or obvious reference to the Sonic series. Simply drawing characters in the Sonic style may not necessarily qualify.

When you submit something to the gallery, avoid submitting inside jokes.

Keep in mind, the phrases 'That's no good!,"'Pingas!,' or other memes don't automatically make a picture funny.

Do not harass any artists or pictures in the gallery because they bashed a character/couple/anything else that you are fond of.

We will not accept pictures we feel have a malicious intent.

We will not accept pictures we feel were made to... *ahem* get other jollies more so than humor.

Laugh! Our purpose isn't served unless you're having fun, so please enjoy yourselves!

Which Folder Do I Submit To?

Well, here's the run down.

Featured - The Featured folder will no longer be an option. Admins can pick and choose what deviations will go into Featured.

Show Me The Funny - This is the general submission folder. If your submission doesn't fit into any of the other folders, it probably goes here!

Comics - If your submission is a comic, it goes here.

Crossover - Sonic with a touch of Mario or perhaps a pinch of Pokemon? Stick it here.

Animations - Pretty self explanatory.

Holiday - Christmas, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Talk Like a Pirate Day...it all be goin' here matey.

SoniComic Project - Strictly for those participating in the SoniComic Project. If you're interested in taking on a page in the project let us know!

Photography - Funny Sonic photos.

Includes Fan Characters - Any submission that includes a fan character(s) goes in this folder. Keep in mind that the deviation MUST contain at least one official Sonic character and may NOT contain only fan characters.

Sketches - Doodles go here.

Memes - Oh those crazy memes.

Wanted Poster Contest - Specifically for entries into the Wanted Poster Contest. Ends 1/2/12.

Dumb Running Sonic - For Sonic running like an idiot animations from Tumblr.

Tumblr Ask Accounts - Have a Sonic character with a Tumblr? This is the folder for responses to questions asked by your followers.


Sonic Boom - This folder is for anything pertaining to Sonic Boom, whether it be the games or the cartoon.

Folder misplacement, FC without the focus on a main character and/or any canon character at all, and drawings that aren't humorous in the slightest are the biggest culprits. We also on occasion will get screenshots and motivationals. Remember, we want your own artwork submitted here. Not a screenshot. No doll makers.

So, I will continue to search for someone to replace me (I've become busy and inactive). If anyone wants to message me directly or reply to this journal stating why they would be a good caretaker of this group, by all means you may do so.
